To clean

Use a soft cloth lightly moistened in lukewarm water. Do not use any soaps or detergents. Buff with a dry, clean cloth.

DO NOT use window cleaners

The ammonia contents will chemically degrade the varnish and cause the surface to look grayish and dull.

DO NOT use waxes and polishes

These products may damage the varnish and cause yellowing of the product.

DO NOT use furniture oils

The outer surface is varnished, and therefore does not absorb oils well. Citrus-based oils in particular will chemically degrade the varnish and cause the surface to look grayish and dull.

DO NOT leave excessive water on the furniture

Liquid spills and leftover water from cleaning will degrade the varnish and cause the wood veneer to de-laminate.

Prevent fading

DO NOT place in direct sunlight.

Prevent nicks and scuffs

Move with care. Avoid any direct impact or scraping. The hardwood veneer is delicate, and may be damaged by rough physical impact.

Prevent damage to the finish

Do not place hot items directly on the surface.
