The new E-1 stand is the first in a new line of high-end furniture products from StudioTech. We have added 24 new quality products to our accessory selection, mostly for rack mount systems. The products include a selection of 15 and 20 amp power distribution panels. The different panels feature a variety of attributes: from basic power outlets to surge suppression, programmable power-up sequencing, USB port to plug in mini worklight, and integrated light panels.

We have added 12 new quality system cooling products to our accessory selection. The products include a variety of rack mountable, thermostat-controlled fan units for our Ultra cabinets, as well as individual component coolers.

Individual component coolers install directly on top of or underneath a heat producing component: Top-mounted cooling units transport away hot exhaust air as it is emitted from the component, thus preventing hot pockets from forming. Cooling base units blow cool air into components with bottom intake grilles.

Out of the investments you make in your component system, cooling products may be the ones that give you the greatest return. Heat is the dominant cause of electronic equipment failure. The recommended operating temperature for A/V systems is 85^o F or less. Studies show that a 10^o temperature increase over 85^o F will lead to a whopping 40% reduction in your equipment's life span.

We now provide a free-standing plasma TV mounting solution for our U-22D and U-22T cabinets. The kit consists of two heavy-gauge steel pillars that attach to the rear of the cabinets. The plasma TV wall mount attaches directly to the pillars, so that after installation the TV hovers above the cabinet. This height adjustable, wall-independent system provides for an unusually versatile mounting option. The kit is sold as an accessory for $49.

For about a month we have featured a number of new open rack-type product designs on our web site. Despite the striking designs of some of these units, however, we have not seen a large enough response to warrant adding these designs permanently to our product line.
The conclusion to our test is that market interest in this category of product has declined. We are already redirecting our product development efforts toward other product types.

Visitors familiar with StudioTech's products will notice that we have added a number of new plasma TV stands and open racks to our web site. The AM, BR, RH, SR, TH, and VC Series are being test marketed over the next few months to determine whether there is enough market interest to warrant making them permanent additions to the StudioTech line.

StudioTech's Ultra U-22T cabinet is the subject of a detailed, and very favorable, product review by the online publication Digital Trends.
