The company was born in an Irvine, California apartment with the creation of one product, the S-1 speaker stand. The award-winning stand broke new ground in enhancing the performance and style of home surround sound systems.

During the 1990s StudioTech developed dozens of new speaker stands that became available nationwide through outlets such as Circuit City and Fry's Electronics.

1999 marked a turning point, as we broadened our scope from speaker stands to a full line of quality audio/video furniture. That year we introduced three new series of component racks, as well as the Ultra Cabinets that have since become our flagship products.
